Privacy policy

This explains what personal data SG Bank Loan collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible.

Who we are

This website is sgbankloan.com, an independent business financing consultancy operating in Singapore. We introduce businesses to lenders. We are not a bank, we are not a licensed moneylender, and we do not lend money ourselves.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.

• Your name, so we know who we are replying to. Required.
• Your email address, because that is how we reply. Required.
• What you are trying to finance, the message itself. Required.
• Your company name. Optional.
• Your mobile number. Optional, and you never have to give one to ask a question. If you do give one, a separate tick appears asking whether we may call, SMS or WhatsApp you. It is never ticked for you, and we record your answer with the date on it.

We do not record your IP address and we do not fingerprint your browser when you send an enquiry. There is also a hidden field on the form that no real person ever sees, which exists only to catch automated spam.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, and to work out whether it is worth you applying for anything. That is the whole purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not use your details to market anything unrelated to the question you asked.

Nothing is passed to a bank or any other lender unless you tell us to. If taking your enquiry further means sending your details somewhere, we ask you first and you can say no.

Who sees it

A small number of named people who run sgbankloan.com. Your enquiry is emailed to them and a copy is stored on Cloudflare, which hosts this site and runs the form, so your enquiry passes through their systems. Nobody else receives it. We do not sell or rent personal data, to anyone, at any price.

How long we keep it

The stored copy of your enquiry deletes itself after 90 days. That is set as an expiry on the record itself rather than left to somebody remembering to clear it out. The copy exists so that a failed email cannot lose your enquiry, so once that risk has passed it has served its purpose.

Emails already delivered sit in the recipients' inboxes, and any reply thread with you is ordinary business correspondence. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Calls, SMS and WhatsApp

Singapore's Do Not Call provisions govern who may send marketing messages to a Singapore number. We only call, SMS or WhatsApp a number when you have given it to us and ticked the box saying we may, and then only about the enquiry you sent. You can withdraw that at any time by replying to any message from us or by emailing the address below, and we will stop.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to count how many people read each page and which pages they arrive on. It sets cookies in your browser and Google receives that measurement data. We use it to decide what to write next, and it is not connected to your enquiry or to your name.

You can block it with your browser's own settings or with Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works perfectly well without it. Cloudflare also records basic traffic measurements as part of serving the site.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act you can ask us what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it, ask us to correct anything wrong, and withdraw your consent. Write to the address below and we will respond. There is no form to fill in and no fee.

Contact and complaints

Write to hello@sgbankloan.com, which reaches the person responsible for data protection here. Use it for anything on this page, including a request to delete what we hold.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can raise the matter with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.

Changes

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we change this page and update the date on it. This version is dated 18 August 2026 and applies to sgbankloan.com.
